This module aims to develop the skills which are required to overcome barriers and gaps in effective communication and negotiation. Through training activities, practical exercises and discussions you will learn to adopt such methods as assertive communication, active listening and conflict resolution in stressful conversations and negotiations and when working in an international environment.
Economic Research Methods
This module explains the increasing role of knowledge management in a rapidly changing business environment. After having learnt the fundamentals of Research Design, Data Collection Approaches,measurement and scaling methods and the principles of analyzing and presenting data, you will apply your knowledge to your own economic research project and demonstrate your findings in a professional presentation
During this module you will get to know how projects are dealt with and develop your expertise in explaining and utilizing major management processes. You will gain knowledge of project management organizations, ethical standards, processes and professions. The course includes management knowledge areas such as: scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communication, risk, procurement and integration.
Strategic Management and Leadership
This module includes topics such as scanning external and internal environment, strategy formulation and implementation, evaluation, control and change management. All topics are illustrated with case studies of real companies in various different industries. This course enables you to identify sources of competitive advantage and to develop your strategic thinking skills. You will develop a greater understanding of leadership both conceptually and in practice.
Operations and Supply Chain Management
During the course of this module you will become familiar with concepts, activities, and techniques related to the planning and coordination of business operations and supply chains of an enterprise. You will become acquainted with practical approaches to Supply Chain Management and will be introduced to the methods of how business processes are supported by standard software tools.
The objective of this module is to teach the basic concepts of corporate finance, financial planning, portfolio management and the international aspects of financial issues. At the end of this course you will have a thorough understanding of the functioning of capital markets and their derivatives, the ability to use this knowledge to manage portfolios, budgets, and risks and influence the future value of a company.
This module will provide you with a cross-cultural understanding of the basic concepts and issues in IT and IM. You will gain an appreciation for the inherently strategic nature of contemporary IM and of the role that strategic IT decisions play in business strategies and business models. Students will gain the ability to justify and support IT decisions through information acquisition and IT controlling techniques.
Business Law and Ethics
This module integrates concepts, activities, and techniques related to Business Law, Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Ethics. At the end of this module you will have a holistic understanding of management-relevant areas of company, commercial and labour law. Furthermore, you will develop an understanding of basic concepts and perspectives of ethics from different socio-cultural traditions and their imperatives for global business. You will gain the know-how to integrate various laws and provisions and ethical standards with normal economic endeavours for long-term growth and sustainability.
Global Marketing Management
This module covers concepts, activities and techniques related to the planning and coordination of global marketing processes. Having completed this course, you will be able to analyze, select and evaluate strategies for companies approaching global markets and global competitiveness. The focus will be put on developing a cross-cultural understanding of marketing concepts and ethical and social responsibilities of marketing management in international organizations.

This module covers approaches and methods of cost accounting with a focus on establishing a sound background on costing mechanisms and on their application principles in business. You will gain knowledge of concepts, activities, and techniques related to the areas of planning, periodic financial statements and information systems, controls and strategic decision making. You will enhance your understanding of the underlying logic and your ability to form and express an informed opinion on it.
Finally in your Master‘s Thesis you will put into practice the skills and knowledge that you have gained during the MBA programme. In your independent written work you will have to analyze and solve a particular theoretical or practical problem of the business environment of your company within a specific time limit.
